The Due Date Movie is a road movie and comedy that features Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. The Due Date DVD is available to purchase as from February and the film is very entertaining and safe to watch for most ages. The Due Date movie plot is about a guy, Peter Highman, who is about to become a father (Robert Downey Jr.) but who is on the other side of the United States (in Atlanta). No big deal, is it? In this age of lightning fast travel, he only has to hop into a plane and swoosh over to his loving wife (Michelle Monaghan), and the couple would live happily thereafter with their adorable baby. This is discounting the apparition of Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis), the easily loved big bearded fellow from The Hangover movie. When he arrives, you know what happens. Yes, you do. Disaster strucks.

Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) gets thrown out of the plane as well as Ethan Tremblay (Galfianakis) and together, they have to travel to the other side of the country by car. The Due Date DVD Roap Trip - as you’ll see on dvd, this comedy becomes a road trip. If Zach Galifianakis can get can get him blacklisted on airplanes in a few minutes, it is easy to imagine what it will be like spending days with him.

Saying anymore would take away the joy of you discovering what the movie is all about, although there are many twists and bounds to keep you interested until the end. Just keep this in mind: there are surprises even when you think that the Due Date movie is wrapped and sealed, and all you expect is to coast to the ending.

The Title ‘Due Date’ is inspired from the supposed Date that Peter Highman’s wife is supposed to have a baby. It is a fitting title since the film story revolves around Highman trying to get home at all costs in time for the delivery.

The Due Date movie was released on the 7^th of November 2010 in movie theaters. The DVD and Blu Ray (HD) versions are scheduled to be released on the 22^nd of February 2011.

The Due Date DVD Cover (front) shows Robert Downey Jr with Zach Galifianakis (and his dog, Sony), side by side. Not surprisingly, the Peter Highway character is standing with a neutral to serious expression while the Ethan Tremblay character is smiling with an innocent smile.

My Due Date Review: I would give it an overall score of 7 out of 10. I enjoyed the movie -  I think that it was reasonably well directed, the actors performed well and it was funny. Maybe the script could have been a bit better. It was good fun nonetheless.

Viewers rated the Due Date DVD Movie 3.5 out of 5 at Amazon. At IMDb, the score was more or less the same with 6.8 out of 10.

Mark says he thinks that it was a wonderful movie and it deserves 5 stars. He doesn’t understand how anyone can think less of the film since the level of other films made today is not that good. He recommends the Due Date movie to anyone who liked The Hangover.

A reviewer going by the name ‘Pumpkin Man’ wrote that he laughed a lot while watching the movie and thought that it was extremely funny. It reminded him of “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”. He thought that Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis complemented each other very well.

Hollywood Quick Stop thought that Due Date was funny, although he admitted that the story could have been better.

Darkvulcan29 from the United States says that he had a lot of fun watching Due Date. He thoughts that some situations were a bit overblown but he does not really care since it is a comedy. He says that he was looking for a good laugh and he got it.

The Due Date dvd movie has been more or less been well reviewed by critics, with many recommending it. Others were more tempered in their reviews but generally, they liked it.

Robert Downey Jr. is quite good in his role of the guy (Peter Highman) who wants to get home to be with his wife when she delivers but who underneath can be quite a mean bastard. I think that Bradley Cooper would have been more suitable, but then maybe the director would have been reluctant, else it would have reminded the audience too much of The Hangover.

Zach Galifianakis is simply sublime in this role of the Idiot (Ethan Tremblay) who wants to help but who is simply a disaster and who causes disasters. It ressembles his role in The Hangover, but this time he is going to cause havoc.

Michelle Monaghan is lovely in the role of the expecting mother and who wants her husband home. She knows what she wants but she isn't nagging and is very comprehensive. She is like a silent influence. Many men would probably watch this film and daydream about instilling this quality in their wife.

Jamie Foxx is as always very comfortable in the role of the best friend. His acting is natural and it is always a joy to see him blend in his roles. Short but very convincing performance.

The main soundtrack for the Due Date Movie is “People Are Crazy”, a song co-written by Bobby Braddock and Troy Jones. It is sang by Billy Currington.
